The meeting was called to order at 11:10 a.m.
President Terry Sterling explained the purpose of the meeting was to discuss possibly selling the rights to 1,000 sq. ft. of impervious soil to Josh Grieger for the purpose of building a small garage. Josh has offered to pay $5,000 for 1,000 sq. ft. The $5,000 would go to road repairs.
Discussion was held about dividing the common area impervious soil allotments among all the lots, giving every lot owner about 750 sq. ft. This would incur costs for removing the concrete pad, surveying, and filing with the county.
After much discussion, Mike Kenney moved that we table this discussion and allow Josh to pursue a private acquisition of impervious soil from another lot owner who is interested in working with Josh. Peter Hume seconded the motion. The motion carried 11-5.
In other business, Peter asked about the trees on the back bank of the pond. Jason Torgerson has been researching this, and suggested we have a Pond Party to remove trees from that bank. Look for an upcoming Pond Party this fall.
Also, it was noted that the mowing left an unsightly mess along the road. We will ask Vaughn to be sure to cut all the grass along the road as well as the fields next time.
We welcomed Andy and Jackie VanHoewyk to the neighborhood. Their house is being built on Lot 17. And thank you to Tish Torgerson for bringing some delicious cupcakes.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
